Families, Relationships, Distractions, Embracing Him – 2

Many times we allow a number of things to distract us from our personal relationship with Jesus. When we are distracted, something has stolen our attention. We are often inundated by the cares of the world that flood our lives via the news, media, and social media. When we give our attention to all that is going on in the world, we find ourselves spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically depleted. As a result, we feel we’ve lost our connection with God, we have no direction in life, and spending time with God becomes a burden rather than a desire.

God has given us His grace, an eternal resource to tap into when we are spiritually depleted. He has also sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within us and to help us. The Holy Spirit is our advocate, guide, great teacher, and great helper in the time of need. Our part is to acknowledge His presence.
